Beautiful 80s transparant evening dress made by Jean Varon, artist name for John Bates.
This V-neck, sleeveless tiered dress has three layered ruffled cape collar.
The dress closes in the front with a zipper, hidden by a rose and a long flip tie collar in the same material as the dress.
Material; 100% polyester voile and 100% polyester lining
Jean Varon is the artist name of John Bates well known designer of the UK from the 60s until the eighties. Though he was inventor of the mini skirt his fellow designer Mary Quant took the credits. He is also known for designing the costumes for the heroine Emma Peel in the wellknown British serie 'The Avengers' in the 60s Especiallly welknown are her black leather cat suits.
